About

Since its founding in 1923, Tennessee Valley Historical Society (TVHS) has made huge contributions to the preservation and interpretation of Northwest Alabama's history. TVHS hosts quarterly member meetings with presentations, publishes periodic journals, and funds scholarships to the University of North Alabama (UNA) in a partnership with the Department of History.

 

Tennessee Valley Historical Society is an inclusive organization that seeks to preserve cited history, heritage, tradition, folklore, and other cultural understandings of our past.
